The beginning of the year is perfect for making plans. For this reason, in this article, we are presenting you the most amazing 5 festivals that take place in Romania. To be easier to read, we presented the festivals in chronological order.
SAGA Festival Bucharest, 5-7 June 2020
The festival is at its first edition, is taking place in Bucharest and at first sight, it looks like a festival with potential. More than 150 artists will participate at Saga Festival, which will have 5 scenes available. The even better part is that part of the line-up of this edition has already been announced: Tiësto, Don Diablo, Disclosure, Faithless (DJ Set), Marshmello (only Romanian performance of 2020) and Medusa.
The festival is organized by 2 companies that have rich experience in organizing festivals, namely ALDA and Insomniac. They promise us a completely immersive festival experience, raising the bar for all future events.

Neversea Festival, 2-5 July 2020
Neversea Festival is at the 4th edition, is held in Constanta and is one of our favorite festivals. It has a special “air” due to the location. It is a great experience to be on the beach and listen to your favorite artists until sunrise. But more details about this experience and about Neversea 2019, you can read here.
For Neversea 2020 we expect a lot of surprises, and we hope to be beautiful weather and maybe we will be there.

Electric Castle, July 15-19, 2020
Electric Castle is one of the most interesting festivals in Romania, it is already at the 8th edition. As the name implies, we are dealing with a castle that becomes “electric” for several days. The castle is called Bánffy Castle. And is a baroque architectural monument located in Bontida, a village in the vicinity of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was built during the 15th century.
In the 2019 edition of Electric Castle, there were over 230 thousand people, 15 thousand camped at the festival and over 300 artists were present. Being a festival that lasts 5 days, you have time to enjoy everything it offers. It is among the few festivals in Europe that is truly active 24/7.
Electric Castle was designate the Best Festival, in the category “Medium-sized festivals” within the European Festival Awards! 🥳
For the 2020 edition, Electric Castle is preparing a new adventure with Twenty One Pilots, Foals, The Neighbouar, Fisher, Zhu, Floating Points and many more. More details here.
Untold Festival 2020 Chapter 6, July 30 – August 2, 2020
Untold is the largest electronic music festival in Romania, and takes place in Cluj-Napoca. He has won 3 times in a row (2015, 2016 and 2017) the Best Major Festival award organized by the European Festival Awards.
Last year’s edition, Untold: Chapter 5, gathered over 370 thousand people in the four days of the festival. The biggest number so far. Also last year, with YouTube Music, Untold broadcast live on YouTube 6 scenes. Armin van Buuren gave Untold’s official anthem last year with the song “Something Real”. Armin van Buuren is one of the most beloved artists at Untold, in 2018 and 2019 having music sets of over 7 hours.
Untold 2020 will surely keep the tradition of giving us a very well organized festival and will be attended by the greatest artists of the moment. More details about Untold 2020 here.
Summer Well Festival, 7-9 August 2020.
Summer Well is a pop, indie and rock music festival that takes place right next to Bucharest, at Stirbey Field. Stirbey domain is located in Buftea, just 15 km from Bucharest and is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved domains around Bucharest.
In 2020, Summer Well celebrates its 10th-anniversary, managing till now to maintain a unique atmosphere. This year’s Summer Well will feature Of Monsters and Men, Nothing But Thieves, Tom Walker and many others to be announced.
