8 Tourist Trails in the Baiului Mountains

BAIULUI MOUNTAINS

The Baiului Mountains or the Garbova Mountains are part of the Curvature Carpathians, being located in their western part; they have an area of approximately 300 km2.

Maximum altitude: 1923 m – Neamtu Peak

The Baiului mountains have moderate heights, gentle peaks, which makes them easily accessible. They are crossed by many dirt roads, used by mountain bike lovers.

Above 1600 m, the peaks and peaks are covered by bushes and various associations of meadows, which makes it difficult to orient in case of low visibility. From the peaks of the Baiului Mountains opens a spectacular view of the Steep Prahova of Bucegi.

Protected areas: The upper basin of the Rele Valley, located on the southern slope of Mount Cumpatu, the Arinis of Sinaia, the Meadow with Narcissus Botanical Reserve (near Azuga).
