Notebook VS Digital Travel Planner

Our lives are flooded with digital travel planners. From to-do lists to full-blown all in one trip organisers and apps, there is something for everyone.

But are they really ideal for the limited time we sometimes have for travel planning?

Online or digital travel planners and tools are fine if you need to collaborate with others, but they are not fitting though for personal organising, and stress-free itineraries.

Truly, online planning tools might stop you from being creative and productive!

But How? Because of two reasons you may never have guessed of but are genuine.

Reason No 1: Too Many Steps For action

Excellent ideas begin with one thought or thorough research. Usually, those thoughts and plans have a very short lifespan in our brains so we need to write them down or note them to save them and use them in the future.

Here are the two main ways we currently have available to take notes:

Digital notetaking and planning Tools.

Usually, if you want to take a note of an idea in order to store it using a digital tool you need to do the following steps:

  • Find your Device ( and hope it’s charged )
  • Unlock it
  • avoid all distracting notifications
  • Find your planning app
  • Open it
  • Find the right category
  • Start typing
  • Save it

As you can see above for a simple note you need to make at least 8 steps to save your ideas. Does it sound productive?

An everyday notebook/planner

In this situation, to save your ideas and plans, you usually follow these steps

  • Find Your planner
  • Find a blank page
  • Start writing

Mind BLOWN! You just saved 5 whole steps and a lot of time.

So if productivity is your goal, what would you choose? Think about it. For me, it’s a notebook!

But there is more. Keep reading

Reason No. 2: Distractions

We are soooo guilty of this…. we have been distracted by sooo many things…. so many times it’s just laughable.

I open my phone to take a note.
I see a notification from Insta. UuuuulLets see what it’s about!
I open up Insta.
19 minutes and 17 seconds later I remember I needed to take white in my planner.
Wait. What was that stuff I needed to take a note of?
Nah next time. Let’s keep scrolling!

Are you having the same experience?

There are simply too many diversions that can completely lead you off track. and it simply …. Sucks.

This is why we decided to sit down and create our own Travel Planner that can:

  • always be with me when I start planning our next adventure
  • It’s light and practical
  • Has plenty of space for all our travel organisation, activities and thoughts
  • Really easy to use
  • Is also beautiful (if I am going to use it for every trip it should also be pretty!)

So after months of travelling through Asia and having to plan what we do and visit every single day, 2020 offered us time to sit and focus on other subjects. Therefore we designed and refined, decided on the ideal shape, size and build for a travel planner that can help us stay super organised with zero distractions.

At the moment, our Travel Planner is available only in Romania. But you never know what the future will offer.
