How is it at Neversea

Autumn is here and we are thinking about the memories we made this summer, especially because this year we went to Neversea. Today was announced the day when the first tickets are for sale for Neversea 2020, of course at special prices. So, if we still remember this energizing festival, we said we would write a post about how it felt to be at Neversea 2019.

Since the first edition we wanted to go, but only this year we managed to (edition number 3). Neversea is “Untold’s younger brother” and it is really a special festival in Europe, because it takes place in the summer, on the beach, and has good music. You don’t need anything else if these three things are present. 😀

What we liked at Neversea:

1. Excellent organization. It seemed like everyone knew what to do and how to do it. A lot of volunteers who were everywhere and ready to help you with any questions you might have. In addition, we saw a lot of security, which is very important if you really want to feel safe. The charging of the bracelets was fast every time (there were enough places to deal with the crowd).
2. Neversea became the first ambassador of the campaign “Colors on the verge of disappearance”. And with this occasion the organizers took measures to reduce the plastic waste, for example, the food was served in biodegradable packaging. In addition, the collection points for plastic and aluminum were increased. After seeing how polluted the beaches of Bali are (maybe we’ll blog about it), this initiative seems to us to be one of the best ideas of the organizers.
3. As is normal at a beach festival, there is the question: Can you swim in the Neversea area? The answer is yes, you can swim and sunbathe in the festival area. But, of course, there is a but, this was allowed until 18:00 (approximately). Which is understandable, for the safety of the participants.
4. Sound is amazing. Besides the sound quality, the isolation of the scenes was perfect. Although at first glance it seemed that the scenes were a bit close and the music might combine, we were a pleasantly surprised. Each scene only had its own music, which sounded very good, not being disturbed by the adjacent scene.
5. Although the focus is only on a few worldwide famous DJs, Neversea organizers have successfully incorporated a lot of musical styles. So in some evenings in the “secondary” scenes there were more people than on the Main Stage.
6. We attended the first drone show in Romania. It was organized by Peroni. The show was made up of 70 drones that lit up the sky in different colours, creating different shapes on the rhythm of the music. And besides this, there were many activations of the brands. Everywhere you look we saw an interesting activation.
7. An incredible variety of food trucks. From burgers to waffles. Being so many, you certainly would found something you like to eat. Unless your diet isn’t including meat. Then your options were limited to fries and pastry.

8. If you would normally take the taxi back to the hotel at the festival, well, RATC (public transport from Constanta) was available non-stop and was an extraordinary alternative. The buses have air conditioning and you have the possibility to pay by SMS.
9. The sunrise at Neversea is unforgettable, being the “cherry on the cake” of the festival. After dancing all night, the sun’s appearance gives you enough energy to last a few more hours.

Now that Neversea 2020 has been announced, we can start to make our plans for next year. We will try to be on July 2-5, 2020 in Constanta. See you there?
