Jordan Pass – Visa on arrival

To enter Jordan you need to have a visa, we explained you below how easy is to obtain it.

Visa On Arrival Jordan

In order to get a VOA in Jordan, you need to pay a 40 JOD fee. This fee is payable at the airport, just before the passport control. These counters are located on the right side of the aisle. Many travellers stop at that queue, so you can’t miss it.

The entire list of countries that can benefit from Visa on arrival in Jordan, here.

Jordan Pass

We spent a week in Jordan so we decided not to complicate ourselves and chose this option.

Jordan Pass is the best option when you want to visit more sights, including Petra. We opted for the Jordan Pass because it gave us the opportunity to explore over 40 sights without worrying that we have to pay for the entrance. The Jordan Pass also includes the visa fee (but you must stay at least 3 nights in Jordan).

The Jordan Pass can be obtained from here and with simple math, you will notice that it is much cheaper. If you do not have a Jordan Pass you will pay for VOA 40 JOD, and the entry ticket for a day in Petra is 50 JOD.

When we purchased the passes, we also bought tickets for the archaeological site where Jesus was baptized with a 33% discount.

You can choose between three types of Passes. The main difference between them is how many days you want to spend in Petra.

  1. JORDAN WANDERER – 70 JOD ($ 99) – Includes one day in Petra
  2. JORDAN EXPLORER – 75 JOD ($ 106) – Includes two consecutive days in Petra
  3. JORDAN EXPERT – 80 JOD ($ 113) – Includes three consecutive days in Petra

You can find all the sights included in Jordan Pass here.

So if you want to visit this wonderful country, it is advisable to purchase the Jordan Pass in advance. This will not only save you a lot of money, but it will also give you the comfort of not having to worry about paying the tickets for sightseeing. You just have to have the pass printed or on the phone and show it at the entrances. It has a QR Code which is very easy and fast to scan.

Safe travels!

Nu, nu ar trebui sa fie probleme.
Daca site-ul iti permite sa iti scri numele cu diacritice atunci fa-o, daca nu, atunci nu iti face griji :)
