The plane that served this route was an A320-232, clean and well maintained inside. Scoot has 26 such aircraft, with a capacity of 180 seats and two types of seats (standard and stretch).
In this type of aircraft you have the following 3 types of seats:
There is also the option to upgrade your seat directly in the plane, from normal seats to those with more space, which can cost between 40 and 80 SGD.
Unlike other flights, in this one, I did not feel I didn’t have enough leg room, which made the flight much more enjoyable.
Officially, the duration of the Bali – Singapore flight operated by Scoot is 2 hours and 40 minutes. In our case, although we left with a slight 7-minute delay, we arrived much earlier at the destination. So instead of arriving at 13:30, we are at 13:08, which was nice. 😀
Being a flight without turbulence and very smooth, most passengers fell asleep. The duration is ideal for a relaxing sleep. If you wanted to work, you could do that, having enough space to sit on your laptop.
The luggage policy of Fly Scoot is very advantageous for anyone wishing to travel only with the hand baggage, being ideal for city-breaks.
On board the aircraft you are allowed 2 luggage, each bag having a maximum size of 54cm x 38cm x 23cm (maximum 115cm linear) and maximum 10kg together. What’s more than great when you have a big bag with clothes and a laptop bag.
There are tickets that include checked baggage, but we decided we did not need it, with just one backpack and a bag.
For up-to-date information about the company’s baggage policy, you can access the company’s website: https://www.flyscoot.com/en/fly-scoot/before-you-fly/baggage
For this route, there was no possibility of online check-in, which was a disadvantage. But we showed up at the airport early to do the check-in. It opened at the scheduled time and we did not encounter any problem with it. The opening and closing times of the check-in are normal, opening 3 hours before take-off and closing one hour before take-off.
After several hours at Singapore Airport, the final flight of the day to our destination followed. It was also operated by an A320-232 aircraft, identical to the previous flight, and it was just as clean and well maintained.
Being two flights operated by the same company, with aircraft configured the same, the experience on board was just as good. And this flight was very smooth, not feeling the time spent in the air. We landed with a slight delay (just 6 minutes) and we received three excuses from the crew.
The experience with Fly Scoot was an extraordinary one. We’ve had some of the most takeoffs and landings. Flights were also some of the most relaxing and enjoyable so far. The crew was also smiling, careful at everything that moves and when you need something. They were not very insistent when it comes to selling the products.
And all this we discovered because of the luggage policy, being one of the decisive factors when I chose to fly with this company.
