Visa for Vietnam – Visa on Arrival with Approval Letter

In this article, we talk about how you can get a tourist visa for Vietnam, and about what we’ve done to enter this wonderful country.

There are three ways you can get the tourist visa for Vietnam:

  1. Go to the embassy, build and submit your file, and wait. We avoided this because we were not in our home country and because you have to present a lot of papers. It seemed to us a complicated operation, so we skipped it.
  2. E-Visa. There are 46 countries (at the moment I am writing this) that can apply for e-visa. You enter the dedicated website, enter your data, pay $ 25, and that’s all. You will have the approval in a few days.
  3. With approval letter. We have chosen this method, so I will give you more details about it below.

This is ideal if you forgot to apply for e-visa because you can obtain the letter as fast as you are willing to pay.

Visa on Arrival with an approval letter

The first step is to find a dedicated site. We used  vietnamvisapro.com and worked smoothly. You fill in your personal details, along with your entry and exit dates, including the city of entry and exit. Then you pay $6. All this is to receive from them a letter, in which they guarantee for you. This letter must be presented when you enter the country, is a criterion for obtaining the visa. (visa on arrival).

Upon entering the country, you fill in a form and then hand the papers together with a picture and the passport so they can analyze your request. Visa on arrival costs $ 25 and must be paid on the spot. The total cost of the visa if you choose this option is $31 (if you want to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days with a single entry).

What method did you prefer and why?
