Where to stay in Amman – Amman Pasha Hotel review

The best area for accommodation in Amman

When you start planning your trip to a foreign country, the first concerns begin to appear. From how you will dress, what you will eat there, where you will stay, what you will do, etc. So we thought about making your life a bit easier and tell you where to stay in Amman, Jordan.

The most important sights are in the city center. Therefore the most convenient area for accommodation in Amman, is near the Roman Theater and Citadel. So that you do not spend extra money on transportation between accommodation, tourist attractions and restaurants.

Where we stayed in Amman

We stayed at the Amman Pasha Hotel and it was a very good choice, especially since it is perfectly positioned. To establish from the start, this hotel is not one to praise from all points of view. But we consider it an “honest” one, good for what it offers, for the location and the price paid. Now let’s explain why we say that.

We stayed at Amman Pasha Hotel, for 4 nights, and besides the tourist attractions in the city, it was perfect as a base point to visit the surroundings.

The hotel is located right in the center of the old town. And we left the car (with which we travelled all around Jordan), in the parking lot and start walking around the capital. Being near a super busy street it is not advisable to leave your car parked on the street. So the hotel staff were nice and showed us the closest guarded parking (2 min walk), where the fee was 2 JOD per night.

The Best Part

The best part was that the hotel has a rooftop restaurant, where we spent every evening. Amman Pasha Hotel is located opposite the Roman Theater, so we spent many hours in the evening admiring it. The food is not great, but not the best food in Jordan. The food is average and it can fill your stomach after a busy day. The most delicious dish on the menu is definitely shaorma.

The rooms are exactly how you would expect. Simple, nothing spectacular, but they are equipped with air conditioning. And although it does not seem like a big deal (the fact they have air conditioning) you will surely feel the utility from the first evening spent there. The rooms on the upper floors enjoy a view over the Roman Theater or the Citadel. But you didn’t travelled to Amman stay in the hotel, anyway.

Also, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel owner, an elderly man with a big heart for any living thing. So in the reception but also on the roof, there are mini zoo gardens. And the staff was amazing, giving us hints and tips.

Now that we have finished presenting this accommodation from Amman, tell us (in the comments) what do you think.  And if you are near the Roman Theater, go to Amman Pasha Hotel, at least for a coffee and the view from the terrace, you will not regret it.
